Safety concept and services for exhibitors

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the situation we are in remains extraordinary. On 23 October 2020, the cantonal council of Bern tightened measures to stem the spread of the coronavirus, declaring that events with more than 15 people and trade fairs will be prohibited starting on 24 October 2020. The safety and good health of all visitors, exhibitors, partners and employees are also paramount to the BERNEXPO GROUPE. As soon as the severity of the situation relating to the coronavirus pandemic has subsided and events are permitted to take place again, we look forward to safely welcoming you to the BERNEXPO site in person. You will find the details of the measures in our safety and hygiene concept (subject to change).

WE TAKE CARE OF THE FOLLOWING MEASURES FOR YOU:

  • A limit to the number of attendees as prescribed by the square footage formula
  • Access restrictions/visitor flow measurement
  • A guaranteed track-and-trace system involving registration of all attendees (exhibitors, visitors and service providers)
  • Floor markings to ensure social distancing inside and outside of the exhibition halls
  • Frequent cleaning of all social areas
  • Sufficient sanitising and hand hygiene stations
  • Hall ventilation with 100% fresh air
  • Catering provided in compliance with the provisions of Federal Office of Public Health and GastroSuisse

COVID-19-compliant stand equipment

We help our exhibitors make their trade fair booths compliant with all laws and regulations pertaining to the pandemic. The following section provides an overview of our COVID-19-compliant stand equipment, which will make your trade fair presentation safe for you and your visitors. Our specialised equipment ensures compliance with social-distancing and hygiene guidelines. It complies with the requirements of the Federal Office of Public Health and the cantonal government of Bern.

Protective plexiglass barriers

A plexiglass barrier (available as a suspended or standing system) protects you and your customers during one-on-one consultations and confidential discussions.


Floor stickers to guide visitor flows

Floor stickers mark waiting areas as well as entrances and exits around your booth. They also delineate the required social distance between persons and help you guide your visitors through your booth.

Visitor limit

To determine how many visitors may be in your booth area at the same time, apply the square footage formula of 3.5 m2 per person. Ensure that the visitor limit is displayed visibly using stickers.

Hand hygiene stations

Provide enough hand sanitiser dispensers at your booth to ensure hand hygiene for your employees and visitors.

Regularly clean surfaces that are frequently touched. Our all-inclusive safety bundle contains suitable cleaning wipes.
